During Lieutenant Colonel Albert J. Amatuzio's 25 years of service as an award winning jet fighter pilot, he knew the importance of lubrication and maintenance to the overall performance of jets he flew. He also knew that the most vital parts of an airplane is the pilot and he did his best to stay in top physical condition. A.J.'s belief was that a higher level of physical performance and well-being could be attained through proper nutrition. In 1985 he brought this principle of health through better nutrition to AMSOIL INC. with the founding line of the ALTRUM Nutritional Product Line. It became the flagship line for for the ALTRUM Division. That brings us to where the ALTRUM Division is today. Al Amatuzio made history by developing the world's first synthetic motor oil, and for many, he made history when he expressed the importance of health and nutrition by creating the ALTRUM Division.
